
Well, it's time to put the quilt top on! We created the plum line in the batting. We simply line up the center leader with the center of the quilt. I always pin my quilt top to prevent any wiggling around. I know some people don't, but I prefer to take this extra step! Once pinned, it's ready to stitch. You will see in the video that I am using a contrasting thread but this won't matter.
Pressure is essential as you baste to take the fullness out of the quilt. You see that I am going slow. Don't rush this step!
Basting the top and sides secures the quilt top to the batting and the backing! Now, go find an unfinished project and get it done!
