So one of the best ways to practice free motion quilting without feeling like you are wasting fabric or thread is to doodle on paper! Grab a pen and piece of paper and check out the video!You don't have to start out with anything fancy. Just start! You'll see in the video that one of the best tips is to keep the pen on the paper.
